Obama wants the US economy to have strong ties with Ireland
Posted by Stephen Cline on March 18th, 2010The US economy is showing some signs that it may be recovering faster than expected. But it wants to leverage good ties with countries like Ireland to ensure that the rate of growth is hastened, which would mean greater growth not only for the US economy but also to other economies that are hurting from the recession. President Obama has made a strong call for better ties between the US economy and the Irish economy which would lead to acceleration in the path of coming out of the recession, which has troubled many economies worldwide. There seems to be some indications that there is some stabilization that has occurred on both sides of the Atlantic. But Obama is of the opinion that what is sought is not just stabilization but the ability to show robust growth and economic progress.
Obama has called the US economy constituents to invest heavily in Ireland and lead from the front in building on the strong and close ties between the two nations. He avers that a lot of people are hurting as they are out of jobs and need urgent help to come out of the morass that they are in. This would also contribute to national GDP growth.
