How Much Should A Bankruptcy Attorney Cost Me In San Diego?

Posted by Stephen Cline on February 8th, 2010

I am needing to file a Chapter 7 bk soon. I am wondering how much money I am going to spend for my attorney. I want to pay it all cash up front to get it done and out of the way. Any suggestions for bankruptcy attorneys in San Diego, CA?

  1. Make several calls as the attorney fees vary greatly. I live in PA and the fee ranges from around $900 to $2,000. Try to find a solo practice attorney, his fees may be lower since he should have a lower overhead.

  2. that’s a hard one, so many attorneys have different fees
i know someone in los angeles who just filed and that was $2500
but i don’t know what chapter.
i found if you go to the big firm, just like the big jewelry stores you’re
paying for the packaging not so much the product.

  3. You’ll have to call up a few and ask their rates. Other than that, its possible to purchase a kit from the stationary store, and do it yourself.
